ANTHONY SIKPA
Chairman

Anthony Sikpa has over thirty years working experience in the private sector of Ghana, specifically in air transport and Agriculture production and marketing.

He started as a management member with responsibility for sales and marketing of a travel company. He rose to become a director and the team leader of West Coast Airlines Limited.

From West Coast Airlines, He started Agrotrade Limited to engage in the import and export of agriculture-related commodities such as coffee, nuts, cotton, cotton seeds, palm oil and palm kernel cake by way of exports, and soya and fish meal for importers.

He also has experience in high –value agriculture, having been involved in the growing of cotton in the Upper West Region as a project director for Copra Ghana and as a partner in Kembu Limited to grow flowers for domestic and export markets. Anthony’s involvement in the horticulture industry exposed him extensively to issues of good agriculture practices and food safety certification for market access.

MARJORIE VALERIE QUIST ABDIN
Council Member

Mrs. Marjorie Valerie Quist Abdin is currently the 1st Vice President of FAGE (Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters) and the Chairman of the METASIP (Medium Term Agriculture Sector Investment Plan) Steering Committee. She is also a founding member of APPDF (Agriculture Public Private Dialogue Forum) and WIANG (Women in Agri Business Network, Ghana).

She was a member of the EDAIF Board (recently subsumed into Exim Bank) and was a key member of the Exim Bank Bill Committee chaired by the late Mr. Lionel Van lare Dosoo.

As a consequence of these positions, she has represented Ghana at CAADP (Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program) conferences in West Africa and across the continent; at President Barack Obama’s Feed the Future Annual meetings in Washington; and Government Trade Delegations to Europe and USA.

She has also represented the Private Sector at various local fora hosted by the Joint Sector Review (MOFA) GIZ, USAID, BUSAC, PEF AND FAGE.
She incorporated Quist Farms Ltd, a 20 acre farm near Asutsure, in 2012. This is a logical outcome of her representation of the many FAGE member associations involved in horticulture.

Prior to 2012, she was a retailer, wholesale, Importer of Textiles and a Garment Manufacturer and Exporter among other Business activities.

FREDERICK QUASIE AYEH
Council Member

Mr. Frederick Ayeh is currently the 2nd Vice President of the Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE) and a board member of FAGE. He is also a founding member of Ghana Yam Export Pack house and was the chairman for Ghana National Awards Committee.

He has served on many other boards. He has over thirty years working experience in the private sector of Ghana specifically in Agribusiness.

He has established businesses in South Africa and Botswana. He has vast knowledge in export having involved in yam and Assorted Food Stuff Export business over a decade.

Mr. Fredeick Ayeh has exhibited good leadership and communication skills and has proven to be a good team leader.

SAMUEL JAJI JALLEY
Council Member

Mr. Samuel Jaji Jalley started the yam business from 1994 to date. He is the Managing Director of Nawubil Ltd. He has a vast experience when it comes to Yam farming supply and export. He was the President – of the Konkomba Yam Farmers and exporters Association from 2001 to 2006.

He was a member participant and contributor to the Yam Quality Project of the MOFA/DFID aimed at addressing the post –harvest losses in Ghana Yam from 2000 to 2002.

He is a member –Committee of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, which reviewed yam export in Ghana and led to listing yam under schedule (section 4 of the Act 503).

He is founding Member – Ghana Root Crops and tubers Exporters Union (GROCTEU) – 2003 -2005.

He is currently an executive Council Member – The Federation of association of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE)2003 – To date.
He is a Coordinating Committee member of Ghana Yam Sector Strategy – 11 June 2012 to date
